Elegant and mysterious, picturesque but never showing off – it's all about the nearby towns and villages of South Tyrol that offer pleasant walks under the arcades, an immersion into local culture and history, flavoursome local food and wine, as well as lots of cheerful feasts and festivals.

And don't miss some really interesting museums, such as the Ladin Museum Ciastel de Tor in San Martino in Badia, the Ursus Ladinicus Museum in San Cassiano, the South Tyrolean Folklore Museum in Dietenheim (Teodone) and the Messner Mountain Museums on Kronplatz and in Bruneck (Brunico). More than time killing destinations, but real gems that are totally worth the trip. To discover them you don't need anything else, but a taste for travelling and adventures.
